The Dolphins took a big loss Sunday as Frank Gore was ruled out for the second half of the team’s Week 15 matchup against the Vikings.
The 35-year-old running back suffered a foot sprain during the first quarter, according to NFL Network.
Gore was down on the field for several minutes and struggled to walk off. He needed the help of trainers as he limped to the sideline and then underwent further evaluation in the team’s medical tent before being carted off to the locker room during the second quarter.
The report adds that the X-Rays were negative, but his availability going forward is in question.
