Keke Coutee injury update: Texans WR reportedly expected to return vs. Colts

The Texans are expected to receive a boost to their lineup as they face the Colts in Saturday’s AFC wild-card playoff game.

Wide receiver Keke Coutee will make his return after missing Houston’s last five games with a lingering hamstring injury, according to ESPN, though he’s officially listed as questionable.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien addressed Coutee’s injury Thursday and said, “I think he’s got a shot.”

“He’s been practicing for a couple weeks now, so we’ll see,” O’Brien added (via the Houston Chronicle). “I think it will be closer to game time for us to make that decision.”

The rookie, selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech, hasn’t played since Nov. 26, but he had a strong week of practice and was a full participant all week.

Coutee has 28 receptions for 287 yards and one touchdown this season, though he has played in only six games with two starts.
